We are not starting something new; but, recreating and refining an ancient mercantile tradition using modern tools of doing trade and transportation. At the core of this revival is the creation of Intra African Trade through the African Union – African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). This is the “world’s largest free trade area bringing together the Fifty Five (55) countries of the African Union (AU) and Eight (8) Regional Economic Communities (RECs) to create a single market for the African Continent”.
